NOTE: Things added in blue were added after initially writing the review/rambling/semi-summary.
Also, the first few ep titles of were taken from Gundam.com, and aren't the English version Toonami titles. (I'll get those when/if Toonani does any re-runs...)
Also (last one ^_^; I swear!) the summaries for the first few eps (read, first 3) were added in later, so I might have forgotten some stuff, or put some stuff in the wrong ep.
Also...no, I'm just kidding. ^__^
Mobile Suit Gundam airs on Toonami weekdays at 5pm pacific time.

Ep1: Gundam Stands it's Ground (I think the Toonami version's title was Enter Gundam, but I'm not sure)
Because there's a military ship docking with the colony of Side 7, sections of the colony (or was it the whole colony?) were supposed to be evacuated. But since the Hero is such a distracted techie, and since the neighbors resent him 'cause his father is a government scientist who brought the war to Side 7 in the first place (in their opinion...Like a 13-year-old kid had any say in it...*mutter-mutter-grumble* stupid neighbors...), Amuro didn't hear the evacuation order, and nobody told him about it. Until Frow came by and made him leave. Then these Zakus attack. Amuro stumbles upon the manual for the Fed's new secret weapon, the gundam. And when things get desperate, he jumps in the gundam and fights the Zakus. In the process, he blows a hole through the colony wall and his father gets sucked out into space, but Amuro doesn't notice that.
...I love this show. Seriously. I've seen only one ep and I already LOVE it!*grins* This is so cool. Ok, you know how in GW all the characters are extraordinary? Like, the gundam pilots are all these super-trained teenagers, and the Oz people are all very high ranking while being really young. In this show, the hero is --dare I say it?-- ...normal. I mean, sure he seems to be a genius and his father is a high ranking (we assume) government scientist person, but in all other respects this kid is perfectly normal. This kid could be the class brainiac. He reminds me of Archie from the Archie comics, I mean this is someone I can relate to! ^__^ I like him! And that little mechanical ball thingie is *so* CUTE! You NEVER had little cute things in GW...well, unless you count that baby Treize saw in one ep and those dogs Heero and Quatre were playing with, but I don't count them and I don't think that those dogs were that cute. I think I'll really like this show.

Ep2: Destroy Gundam (I remember this one! Yay!)
Unfortunately, I don't quite remember what happened in this ep. ^_^; I think it was mostly a fighting ep. Most of the technicians and the people who were trained to handle the gundam and the White Base and all those Fed secret weapon things were lost in the Zaku attack of Side 7, so all these not-quite-qualified people take over. And they fight. And they win. That's about all I remember...Oh! And to check up on stuff, Char goes out to Side 7 (goes on the colony, I mean) and investigates. While there, he encounters Silva (is that her name?) and thinks that she's his long lost sister.
Char is slanty. *looks around at weirded-out faces* What?! He *is*! He's friggin slanty! Look at the side view of when he's standing up straight--his body is shaped like an italic S! *looks around again* ...Well, I'll just have to convince you then...*pulls out gun and waves it around in a threatening manner* IT'S....AN...S!!! *heavey, manic breathing*
Ahem. Anyway. So the blonde lady with the shoulder-length hair is Char's sister...why is it that the male blondie always has to have a long lost sister? Allen has Celena, Zechs has Relena, and apparently there's one in this show too! Is there some sort of formula or something...? On a slightly related note, I think that Char looks better with his helmet and mask *on*. Not that I got that good a look at his face...
*reads what she's wrote so far* Wow...I'm really cultivating a Char obsession, eh?
*shakes self* Ok. Now for something non-Char. *looks determined* Amuro...I feel sorry for him. The whole killing thing...Man. That officer's mean *pouts* You know, the one at the end who was shoving all that responsibility down Amuro's throat? He's mean and my impression is that he's mean 'cause he totally resents Amuro...but I don't particularly hate him. He is, after all, being used for plot reasons. ^__^ On the topic of baddies on the Federation side...who's that evil rodent guy the blonde lady slapped? I'm curious about him for some reason. Is he Amuro's competition (you know, techie arena and stuff?)? He is gonna rat out on the Federation? Is he both?

Ep3: Strike an Enemy's Supply Warship (what a weird title...descriptive and accurate, but weird none-the-less)
Well, it's like the title sais...after the last battle, Char has run out of some supplies (like Zakus and such), so they get a supply ship out there. And...the Feds decide to attack it. Basicly, that's the ep in a nut-shell.
CRAP! Crap, shit, gosh-darnnit! I missed this episode! It's almost 11, and I *just* realized that I--oh wait, no I didn't! *slow smile* Hey...I *didn't* miss today's ep! Good then. Yes, very good. Ok then. *thinks* Now what happened today? Oh right! Supply ship...attack...etc. You know what? You know that guy who's in charge and who keeps on giving Amuro a really hard time? What if he's doing it on purpose? 'Cause I don't know...maybe that guy is being hard on Amuro on purpose to make Amuro work harder and be better. *shrugs* Well...it's a theory.
Char...he seems like a guy who hasn't lost in a long time, if ever. I wonder if he'll eventually suffer a mental break-down when he isn't able to hunt down and destroy the gundam (and we know he won't be able to...he's the bad guy, after all ^_^;). I think I'd like to see that happen. *evil grin*
Haha! *grins* Who is that short guy on the bridge? The one the mean commanding guy asked for an opinion, and he responded something along the lines of if the enemy is unprepared even a small force can beat it? Or at least that's what his mother or someone always told him? Lol...I like him! And weird-eyed rat-boy is seeming less and less evil...but we'll see about him.

Ep4: Escape from Luna II (I remember this one too! WhooHoo!)
Wow...this episode seemed really short. Basically, Amuro and co. get to Luna II, but the guy in charge of Luna II won't let them rest there. Not only that, but everyone who had something to do with managing the gundam and White Base has to be restrained 'cause they're gonna get into trouble 'cause the gundam and White Base were supposed to be top secret military things. Then Char attacks, then they fight, then Char retreats. Anyway.
Evil-rat-boy--who's name is apparently Kai--is really seeming less and less evil. I mean, he's helping out and not doing anything treacherous, in spite of his rodent appearance. Hhmm...could it be that he was intended to be a good guy all along? Hey, it's only the fourth ep. Doesn't mean anything if he hasn't betrayed anyone yet.
The gundam learns. I see. I wonder if it can do my math homework for me...a comment that makes no sense what-so-ever because of course a machine like that is good at math so why would I wonder in the first place (especially since I'm good at math? What I need is something to do my english homework for me.) I'm sorry...I'm trying to be upbeat and exclamative and whatever like I am in the previous posts, but I just don't have the energy today. I'll try, though.
Amuro and Bright seem to be getting along better and better. *claps...then pouts* Phooey...if things keep on going the way they're going, I *won't* get to see them get into a fist fight! *grins* Which, of course, I think would be funny to see. Why? Well...actually, no particular reason. Maybe it's because their difference in height, and Bright's whole demeanor. He's just such a serious-seeming guy, I kind of wonder what he would do if an enraged 13-year-old started going at him.
My friend tells me that she thinks the Zakus are cute. I...don't see it. I mean...maybe it you kinda...no, no I don't see it. Of course, this is the same friend who says that she would marry Wing Zero Custom. ^__^ Personally...Zero's a bit *bulky*--I'd go for Heaveyarms. *grins*

Ep5: Rushing into the Atmosphere
You know...I'm kind of wondering why GW is so different from the other gundam shows. I mean, in GW the colonies are the good guys and the Earth people the baddies...and in GW the gundams are always committing mass slaughter and what-not. You don't often see the faces of the baddies 'cause there's so many of them and they die off so fast...you saw the baddies in Gundam, and it just felt more significant when they died. Ok, so what happened in this ep is Amuro and co. tries to enter Earth, and that's when Char attacks. They fight. Two of the three Zakus that attacked (I'm excluding Char's Zaku) were destroyed in the fight, and one burned up in atmosphere. But the gundam is able to enter Earth--atmosphere and all. And I thought that that shot where Amuro's flipping through the manual, trying to find the Earth-entry section was pretty damn funny. I mean, you have these shots of people having a rough time with the atmosphere and stuff...then you see Amuro, and he looks like he's sitting there reading a magazine! I wanna get that screen capture and past a can of soda on the console...maybe have a basketball under the chair...a TV in the place of the view-screen. *grins*

Ep6. Garma Strikes (this is when I start recording the titles down)
*thunk* You...see...Char..showering....O.O And Garma's talking to him while he's showering...I have no comments about this scene. Just...no comments. x.x
Ok, so what happened was Amruo and Co. entered Earth (in Ep5, but whatever), but they entered Zion controlled territory. Specifically, the territory this purple haired guy, Garma's, in charge of. So Garma attacks them, but his force gets kinda totally beat 'cause he underestimated the White Base and the Gundam and...that thing, the flying thing and the tank. Mostly the gundam, though. Char decided that he wouldn't tell Garma exactly what the gundam was capable of, just that it's a worthy opponent. (*whips Char* Bad, bad boy! *grins* Oh, the mental imagery ...^_^;) At the end of it all, Amuro just...he gets out of the gundam, and everyone's up in happy moods....he just brushes past everyone and collapses into his bed, curls up in a semi fetal position and...well, just stays there. *pat-pats imaginary Amuro* Aww...poor guy.
I...don't really have anything to say about this ep. Oh! And Amuro kind of goes on a killing spree...that's probably why he was totally bummed at the end of the ep. But I love the little kids even more...awww...Amuro's going through a total depression, and the little blonde girl calls him a party-pooper! ^__^ Aren't they the CWOOTIST?!

Ep7. The Core Fighter's Escape
Wait, are most of the refugees on White Base old people and kids? Anyway, the old folks rebel in this ep. But first...White Base personnel (aka Bright, Sayla, etc...) decide to send Amuro out into orbit in the Core Fighter for some reason I didn't catch. (Char thinks that they want to contact the Federation...sounds good to me!) The Zekes notice this and send out fighters of their own. Eventually, Amuro goes back to White Base and comes out in gundam, and Char gets out his Zaku. They fight. Amuro returns to White Base, Char lands on Earth. During and slightly before the battle, the old folks start a rebellion and take the kids hostage (but you only see the 3 kids you've seen in previous eps...you know, the blonde girl and the two brunette boys) and demand that White Base land on Earth 'cause they're sick of everything and they want to walk around on the ground again. That's pretty much it.
Oh yes, and Bright decks Kai. ^__^ And while I like both characters equally, for some reason I'm a bit blood-thirsty right now, so stuff like that really entertains me. (Hhmm...maybe I should go rent Gladiator or something...Some really gory movie *grins*) Amuro ...seems to be really distancing himself. After his nervous break-down/depression episode last...episode....maybe this is the lash back of that. *evil grin* He's going insane. *witch crackle* Char seems to be slowly going insane too (^__^)...probably the stress of having something that's totally beyond his league for the first time in his life. In fact, a lot of the characters seem to be slowly going insane....is what I wish I could say, but I can't 'cause it isn't true. Sayla and Ryo and ...well, everybody but Amuro and Char are taking the whole situation very well.

Ep9. Fly, Gundam
The title isn't that accurate....Gundam doesn't actually fly...But anyway.
This ep seemed to be mostly about Amuro throwing a hissy fit. I totally don't blame him, though. The kid is, what? 13? Anyway. White Base sends out a scout consisting of two Core fighters, and they find a Zion ship. The Zion follow the Core fighters so they will know where White Base is, then they launch an attack on White Base. Amuro refuses to fight. Bright punches him. I almost cheered. But then Amuro is suddenly very interested in fighting when Bright says that it was too bad that he wouldn't fight, 'cause Bright was just thinking that Amuro could almost surpress Char in combat. Gee. Gundam goes against the air crafts that were attacking White Base by jumping up really high and shooting, basically. Garma was out in an air-craft too, and lured Gundam away from White Base in the direction of a hidden Zion ship. But on route, Gundam ran into a Fed supply ship that tipped him off to the trick.
Char is a bastard. That's all I have to say about this episode--Char is a bastard. That, and I would have liked to see Frow pilot the gundam like she offered to when Amuro wouldn't.

Ep.10: Garma's Fate
Um...I kinda...anou...maybe I just...TOTALLY MISSED THIS EPISODE! *wails and hides behind her arm* I just totally lost track of time! I was talking with this girl who I knew from my time in the Star Wars fandom, and we don't get to talk much, and I was talking with this other girl who lives in Canada and we became friends when I lived in Canada and now I don't live in Canada and I miss it! *ahem* Anyway. It's too bad. I wanted to see what Garma's fate was...and the whole thing with that blonde lady...and Char...the preview made it seem like they were all connected somehow. Anyway. If anyone would like to send in a summary, I'll put it up instead of my own and I'll link back to you and I'll feed you a wheel-barrow of cup-cakes. ^__^ E-mail your summary to beidy@hotmail.com and put Mobile Suit Gundam Summary in the title so I won't delete it thinking that it's junk mail ('cause I get a *lot* of junk mail, which results in my delete-happy finger ^_^;)

Ep11. Icelina-Love's Remains
...So Garma's dead. And part of a royal family. I see. And somehow Char brought on Garma's death. I see... The Zombie (I don't know...that's what it sounds like to me) family mourns the lose of Garma. Eventually, the decide to hold a public service thingie for Garma's funeral. White Base is still trying to get into Federal airspace. To avenge her beloved (Garma), Icelina convinces some Lieutenant or another to take her out while they launch an attack on White Base. White Base sends out Gundam and the red mobile suit, piloted by Amuro and Ryo. They jump on the planes that attack them, and they eventually manage to bring all the planes down. At the end, Icelina (who's air craft had crashed, but hadn't exploded) took the dead Lieutenant's gun and tried to assassinate Amuro when Amuro got out of Gundam 'cause the thing was malfunctioning or something. She was so out of it that she slipped, fell, and died when she landed on the ground. They buried her.
Oh! And the refugees are off.
That was sad. I'm saddened. Poor Icelina. Char's really a bastard. I'm starting to dislike him. I hope he dies a slow, torturous death. No, I take that back. His bastard-ness makes him an interesting character.

Ep12. The Threat of Zeon
I've discovered that I really don't like writing these. For some reason, I *liked* writing these review/summary/ramblings for 08thMST, but for Gundam it's just a chore to me. I think it's 'cause I'm way more passionate about 08thMST than I am about Gundam. I like this show, but it's just another show. It's a very good show, but it just doesn't stir me. *sigh* Onwards march, I guess.
During a loosing fight against the some Zeon force or another, the White Base dives into a thunderstorm as a desperate move. Everyone is very amazed by the lightning--most didn't know what it was. The kids on White Base thought that it was some new Zeon weapon; some of the Zeon thought that it was some new Fed weapon. I thought that that was a nice touch--those people were raised on the colonies, of course they don't know what lightning is! Anyway. They get out the mobile suits and what-not and fight. The Zeon had this new type of Zaku that was better armored and probably had better weaponry and stuff. In the end, the Zeon people retreated.
Amuro's shutting down. He eats mechanically, works all day, but is always on auto-pilot. Poor guy.
